SVRC/QRP from the LA South Bay Pacific Gateway Unit works with students who are enrolled in an education program between the ages of 16 to 21. By providing students with the 5 DOR Student Services, which include, Job Exploration, Post-Secondary Training, Work-Based Learning Experiences, Work Readiness Training, and Self-Advocacy training, she helps students to develop skills to move forward on a path towards an independent and successful future. Students that she work with have the opportunity to:

• Explore the world of work
• Obtain hands-on experience
• Gain confidence
• Learn and enhance skills to be more successful at school, work and in life.

Lucia is on the Disability Support Services Board at Los Angeles South West College, the Special Resource Center’s Board at El Camino College and on the Disability Services Board at Los Angeles Southwest College.

In The Spring of this year, Lucia obtained an MOU for Transitional Planning and Student Services with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District which consists of 2 High Schools, a Continuation High School and a Life Skills and Independence Transitional program.

The school district’s that Lucia works with include, LAUSD, CVUHSD, PVPUSD,TUSD
